ENVIRONMENT

 

 At JK Trucking, we are committed to the environment and we have been stringent in our efforts to leave as little impact as possible. This is an industry that has a huge impact on our environment and it is our mission to alter the thinking of this industry and change the way we do business. We have been a member of the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) since 2005 and have implemented many procedures to maintain our standards. We are proud to be one of the few Canadian transport companies to be a member of the EPA.

 

To continue our environmental initiative, JK Trucking supported the Alberta Government's decision to implement biodiesel fuel use in the province. Biodiesel fuel is made from biodegradable products such as canola and soy oils, animal fats, recycled cooking oils and restaurant grease. Our trucks run cleaner and with fewer emissions while also utilizing our renewable resources.

SAFETY & COMPLIANCE

 

Safety is another factor we take great pride in at JK Trucking. We have achieved our Certification of Recognition (COR) with the Workers’ Compensation Board (WCB) stating that we have fully implemented a health & safety program meeting provincial an national standards, and we plan to continue to raise the bar in our industry.  

 

We are proud of our safety record and stress the importance of continuous training and education, as well as the time requirement that goes into maintaining our safety standards each and every day Compliance with regulatory issues has also been part of our standards since we started. 

 

From hours of services, to border crossing paperwork, and weight regulations we value the importance of being progressive and cooperative when it comes to complying with all regulatory requirements. With our current technology we are able to track all movements of our units to guarantee our drivers are compliant with all regulations to keep them and everyone safe on the road. We continue to implement new programs to ensure we are safe and compliant in all areas.
